Astria Countdown to Impact


“Students don’t learn much playing this game called Astria – Countdown to Impact: Their time could be better spent doing other things”.

I partly agree because people could be doing more important things like learning more Spelling words and  practicing  your handwriting. Anyway we could just read big books or journal that children are interested in and analyse the main point of reading the book and explain it.

Kiwi kids news

As part of our independent reading programme we use Kiwikidsnews to learn about news in New Zealand (national news) and around the world (international news).
WALHT: Read closely to analyse an article and to think critically about the messages within them.

Video games in real life-Crossing the road Questions
1. “Find a quote from the main person in this news article?”:
The Blello team said that Video games should be real life because they could play for everyday activity
“2. In your own words describe what happened in this news article?”
The Article is telling us how good video games in real life is good.
“3. Find out where this event took place and include some information about this place?”
This event took place on the road and on  a river it took place in the road and the river because it was based on a game called:Crossy Road
“4. Tell us when this event happened and explain what might happen in the future?”:
This event took place in 20 of May.In the future people might imagine video games in real life
“5. Explain in your own words why this event took place?”
The people who showed this video and Article because they wanted to show us how fun Videogames in real life would be.
“6. Use the Dictionary in the bottom right hand corner to find the meaning of 3 words from the article?”
I already now what these words mean  but I will write what it means anyway

Activities:Something to do or a game.

Version:Something a little different from others of the same type

Ankle Grabber

  • Andy says there’s a monster called the Ankle Grabber.


  • Nobody believed Andy’s monster.


  • Andy couldn’t sleep because of the Ankle Grabber.


  • Andy's parents and his brother didn’t believe.


  • Andy even swap beds with his brother.


    Andy is very scared kid. Because of his scary imagination
that terrifies him at night.
